Core French

Core French is a language program that focuses on equipping students with the necessary skills to communicate effectively in French. The program is designed to be a basic second language program for students in grades 5-8, with approximately 90-120 minutes of French instruction per week. This program satisfies the Ministry of Education's requirement of four consecutive years of second language study for all BC students.

Secondary schools offer Core French as a follow-up program for grades 9-12. All language programs are aligned with the BC curriculum and lead to Grade 12 graduation. What's more, there are no additional fees for the program, making it an accessible option for all students.
