Energy Management & Sustainability
Advancing sustainability in ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ' operations and overseeing energy management across the district's portfolio of over 135 buildings.
We develop strategic long-term goals that help reduce our environmental impact, supporting the district's commitment to environmental stewardship.
The department is responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining a strategic energy management plan for district buildings
- Coordinating energy management and sustainability activities with the active participation of site personnel at key locations
- Identifying cost-effective energy efficiency and conservation measures
- Pursuing financial incentives and grants to support energy efficiency and green house gas reduction projects
- Monitoring building energy performance
- Reporting annually on the energy use and greenhouse gas emissions of the district
- Engaging staff and students through energy saving and environmental awareness campaigns
- Supporting operational staff to improve building energy efficiency and overall sustainability with information and training
