Policy 10405 - Community Use of School Board Equipment


School District No. 36 (Surrey) equipment is intended for the use of district pupils in their curricular and extra-curricular studies and activities. It is not normally available for other use.
Because school principals are responsible for all equipment coming under their jurisdiction, however, it is their decision what, if any, of their school’s equipment may be rented out and under what circumstances.
Should school principals determine that equipment in the school is to be made available to a user of the facility the specific equipment must be identified on the district rental agreement form governing school rentals. In the absence of the principal’s approval noted on the rental form, school equipment will not be made available.
