Congratulations! You've decided to dive into the amazing and sometimes intimidating world of enemas. Enemas have been used for hundreds of years, and before laxatives water enemas were the main medical treatment for constipation. Enemas can be extremely beneficial in unburdening your body by clearing your elimination pathways (lower colon). 

Below you'll find instructions on how to do a water enema, a coffee enema, and how to clean your enema bag. Step 4: Hang your enema bag in the bathroom and pour the coffee into your clean and clamped enema bag.

Step 5: Make sure you have a comfortable spot to lie down on your bathroom floor or in the bathtub. Place a towel down and even grab a pillow. You may wish to wear a robe and create a healing environment with candles.

Step 6: Apply coconut oil or other natural, organic lubricants to the tip for smooth insertion.

Step 7: Gently insert the tip into your colon, lay on your RIGHT side, release the clamp, and allow the solution to fill your colon. 

Step 8: Hold the solution for about 10-15 minutes. This will allow the coffee to move all the way up your colon. When you start out, you may only be able to hold for 5 minutes. That's okay! Work your way up to holding longer and consider performing a water enema first to help clear out the fecal matter, enabling you to hold longer. Always listen to your body and release on the toilet when ready.

How To Clean Your Enema Bag

You can clean your enema bag with soapy water, diluted hydrogen peroxide, or a blend of tea tree oil and water. If you have a Kangen water machine, you can use 2.5ph water. If using diluted hydrogen peroxide, be sure all of the hydrogen peroxide is flushed out and none is left in the bag before your next enema.
